Meet Whitney
As a person – and as an attorney – I believe that every person, regardless of their background, origin, or financial situation, deserves to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. We are all of us human beings. And, in the words of President Theodore Roosevelt, no one is below the law. Equal access to the justice system, including the ability to obtain legal counsel when needed, is vital to a fully functional democracy. The law is for everyone, not just those who can afford it.
My goal is to do my part to make the law accessible, to help empower everyday people to solve real world, everyday problems. Law should not be a one-size-fits-all approach. I want to get to know you and your story, and to work on getting you to your next chapter. To me, being a lawyer means filling multiple roles: an advocate, a counselor, a writer, an interpreter, sometimes just a sounding-board for a frustrated client. But, whatever the role I fill, being a lawyer means having the privilege and opportunity to use my knowledge of the law to help make someone else’s life a little bit better in some way.
At home, I’m a wife and mom to four little ones who keep me on my toes in the best (and most exhausting!) ways possible. I’ve never met a more persistent negotiator than my five-year-old daughter, and that’s saying something! I love a good thrifted treasure and am always looking for ways to make our life simpler, to make room for more time spent together and things that spark joy.
Whether you need just a little bit of legal advice – or full legal representation – I’d love to hear your story.
Very truly yours,
